Thanks very much, Chris. Sorry to bother you with that.

A PDf is a document file format, not an image. As it says on the upload dialog, image files must be one of the following formats: .jpg, .gif, .png or .tif. You will have to rescan the plan as an image, or convert the PDF to an image, to upload it.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks very much for your speedy response! In 'File Properties' it says it is an Adobe Acrobat document (.pdf). It says 230KB, 232KB on the disk... Is that any use?

    Pol.

    Hi Pol

You can upload non-photographic images but depends on the file format.

What file format does your scan have?

Hi, I'm sure I have seen instructions on this subject somewhere in the forum, but can't now find them.  I think they were incidental to the main thread..... I have successfully uploaded a couple of photos to my profile, but the scan of my proposed sail plan "JR ketch from gaff cutter" sketch would not upload, the message being something about it not being a photograph. Can anyone enlighten me please?

    Very many thanks, Pol.
