Possible NZ Junket in Kawau Bay?

Efforts at organising a winter junket have shown that we are too scattered and that the weather is too unpredictable at this time of year.

So, some of us are thinking, about a spring junket, when the days are longer and the distances (especially across Bream Bay) are less ambitious during daylight hours.  Kawau Bay might be a good bet: lots of excellent anchorages, accessible for those attendees who have work committments and a nice spot if we want to do a bit of daysailing, too.

In the past, we (or all too often, I) have promoted and monitored interest via email chains.  This has often been less than successful, because unless all participants hit Reply All, information goes astray.  So Paul and I have set up a New Zealand Junk Rig Facebook group (=:-o) called, appropriately enough, New Zealand Junk Rig.

I know a lot of people don't use FB (and I have a completely separate phone and email account to run it), and I totally understand why, but we think we know which possible attendees don't use it and can approach them personally.  Anyone interested, please post here and/or to the Facebook group.  We shall just have to try our best with members who use neither the website nor Facebook.

How about we aim for junket in Kawau Bay around the 23, 24 and 25 October - New Zealand's Labour Day weekend?

Can you make the same suggestion on the New Zealand Junk Rig Facebook page, Rob?  I think more people see that than look at the website!

I posted to the Facebook group at the same time but my post was removed straight away. I don't think Facebook is for me!
